How important is the Health Service (NHS in the UK)?

For over 10 years the NHS was stripped and privatised,reducing it to a shell. Waiting lists in 2010 were the shortest they had ever been, satisfaction levels higher than they had ever been,at the end of 2019 they were the longest and lowest respectively since its founding. 

The UK now has the second highest number of deaths in the world from Covid -19,others may be hiding their numbers but the UK is still undoubtedly disgustingly high regardless.

Let's not forget care homes, the tragedy that has unfolded is beyond negligence,it is criminal. 

All of this is a fact,a fact that many seem to be ignoring. The massive underfunding of the NHS and care homes has led to massive deaths. 

Yet,it has also had an unbelievably huge knock-on effect on society and the economy as well. The Lockdown,the loss of work for millions,the loss of education,the debt that will now need to be paid. Life will change again after this and what will the Tory government once again do? More austerity, more cuts to everyday people and society.

Frankie Boyle once said "How is it that a library and youth centre in Dudley in Birmingham was somehow responsible for the Banking Collapse and therefore needed  to close?" 

It is more serious than that...the worldwide Banking Collapse led to the NHS,the police,the military, education and welfare all being cut in a relentless cycle of cuts in the name of austerity,yet they didn't cause the banks to collapse,that then led the UK to be ill prepared for the pandemic we now have.

It is an economic policy that has been slowly destroying the UK, they blamed the immigrants(who paid MORE in taxes than they took out) they blamed the EU(Which provided our nation with more trade than any other economic group,and which on balance also our jobs and our wealth). 

Other developed nations didn't punish their ordinary citizens for the Banking collapse and rejected austerity,they continued to fund their people,their welfare,education  and their health services.

They haven't lost such a tragically high number of cases . Their health services coped or their neighbours helped them and even took each others' infected patients. 

In the UK we have had the same government for 10 years.So the unnecessary deaths of so many thousands is either because of their policies over the last decade or the absolute incompetence of the Prime Minister over the last few months,even I cannot blame everything on Boris,but it is definitely a combination of the two factors.

The irony is,is that this disaster will now cost the people and economy  of the UK much much much more than if they had just kept funding all of these services. The idea that they couldn't afford it is bullshit....now they can't afford the fallout and the massive changes that will come.

The money they cut will be nothing compared to what they will now need to spend, tenfold! 

If they had made sure the very pillars that hold up our society remained solid,instead of propping up the banks and cutting taxes for the rich and allowing corporations to avoid tax and allowing labour laws to be overridden they would now be in a situation similar to Germany(500 deaths) and our other neighbours,instead, our children and grandchildren will be paying for this infinitus

Have the cuts to education now made British people too stupid to see what is in front of their eyes?

Remember the poll tax riots? No. You have forgotten what it means to protest.
Forget Brexit for a moment, let's think of the 10 years of austerity. Local services cut,school meals cut,buses cut,libraries cut, military cut,police cut,fire services cut,disabled services cut, NHS cut,disabled people dying,homeless dying,food banks everywhere,children dying in poverty, are you angry yet?  At the same time tax rates cut for the rich,tax breaks given to the biggest companies,no tax for Starbucks,Amazon, Google, Facebook,although they earn billions and billions in the UK alone.
Where are the unions? Where is the anger? Where is the revolution?
I am glad I left the UK,there is no spirit there,no fucking blitz spirit,just a culture of blaming others,blaming the Europeans,blaming the migrants who have paid more into the system than they get out,they are the fuckers actually working!
I am done, fuck you England(I mean England,not Scotland or Ireland,fuck Wales as well). You are the laughing stock of the world you fucking ridiculous pieces of self important pieces of shit. You had everything,now you are about to lose it because you can't stand up,like the people of Hong Kong and say,this is not who we are,we are better than this and we will not take this shit anymore. Look at the people here in Hong Kong,they are facing 1.4 billion people and telling them to fuck off and give us our rights. They have strength,they have revolution in their heart,they know something is not right and they want to shout about it.
What happened to Britain? Where is that revolution? Where is that passion? Where is that sense of justice and fairness? Why are we letting the rich piss all over us every single fucking day? Where is the anger?

I’d like to thank you all on behalf of Dad’s family in Australia. His wife Liz, daughter Rachel, his son in law Matthew, his daughter in law Bindy and his grandchildren Lily, William and Charlie.We all know he was very fortunate to have a great group of friends in Mui Wo and Pui O who loved and cared for him, but most importantly enjoyed his company. He always enjoyed a laugh, so while we all grieve, today should be a celebration of what a great bloke he was.My Dad lived a full and varied life. He met my mother Liz at The Cavern Club in Liverpool one lunchtime while The Beatles were playing around 1963.His Mum and Dad decided to move to Australia in 1964/65 and he reluctantly left England, my mother and his mates. My Mum left for Australia six months later.The family settled in Elizabeth which was a new suburb 30 minutes north of Adelaide in South Australia. It used to get so hot there in summer your feet would hurt just looking at the ground.Although qualified as a Quantity Surveyor his qualifications weren’t recognised in Australia so he got a job as a roof tiler.He eventually started his own roofing and building business.The morning he died and before I had heard the news I was thinking to myself what a wonderful childhood Rachel and I had and how lucky and thankful to Mum and Dad we are for that.We moved to Sydney in 1980 where he got into the investing business which led to his involvement in the Australian film industry.Dad left Australia in 1993 and lived in Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.In the early days before I was married I used to spend most of my holidays with him in Thailand. We had some epic times and I will be forever thankful for those memories. Sadly most of the guys he knew in Thailand have gone as well.There is so much fun, mischief and shenanigans to write about. Perhaps I’ll write a book one day about his life as it certainly wasn’t boring.We miss and love you Dad and you’re in our thoughts everyday.

It is an honour and privilege to pay tribute today to a very special person. remarkable in so many ways. He lived his life to the full and touched so many people during his time here with us. We all have a kaleidoscope of memories that we will always carry with us - memories that defined Eric, memories that we will always hold dear. As the kaleidoscope turns, I see Eric - my friend. He was a good friend to so many! He could be counted on and depended on always. Whether you needed sound counsel, an empathetic ear, a shoulder to lean on; companionable silence; a drinking buddy - he was your man. Ready, steadfast, willing and good fun. As I look out at the faces here in front of me, I see many, many friends and I know that they too will miss the friendship that Eric brought into their lives. I'm sure you all remember... My best mate Eric, who was always like a brother to me, passed away recently I was looking for a poem that would sum everything I wanted to say up perfectly for this memorial today And this one is perfect, he was the person I have turned to for years, he was such a nice guy and didn’t deserve all the hardships he got, but despite all the bad things that happened to him, he was always there for me when I needed him.Eric was the most positive and  upbeat person I’ve ever known and it was an absolute pleasure to be in his company, a true gentleman, an advocate of peace, he will be sorely missed.

I would first like to send all of our condolences to all of Eric's family, and although we are all grieving for Eric today our love and thoughts go out to Eric's loved ones in particular. 

As well as shedding a tear today and coming together to share our grief I hope we can all celebrate the life of our wonderful friend and share our stories together with joy as Eric would want us to. 

Eric became my friend over 10 years ago in Mui Wo, back in the days when we would all put the world to rights in Roseanne's where Wayne and I would annoy him with our karaoke,at Saggoos middle shop on the beach and at Alan's shop also on the beach. I can't even begin to count the days and nights we all shared our stories,our problems and discussed and argued over every topic it was possible to bring up. As with so many of us I became very close to Eric very quickly. He always listened and cared, he gave advice and gave practical help whenever he possibly could.That aspect of Eric defined him more than ever....no matter where he went or who he met he was always ready to share his wisdom.  His wisdom came from his very full and varied life,from Liverpool to Australia to every corner of Asia and beyond, Eric had stories and experiences from a hundred different lives he had led. Eric was many different things to many different people,a road well travelled a life well lived. Even to my own mother who described him as her best friend in Hong Kong, they shared a common knowledge of a Liverpool long gone before my time. Eric was an honorary uncle to many of our own kids,he watched them grow and was there to give advice when parents couldn't. He was a comedian, an Ozzie,a scouser, a Liverpool supporter, and he loved people and lived for friendship. It may sound like a cliché but Eric really will never leave many of us, his influence is too big,his memory too strong. He is in our hearts.

Goodbye our friend for us you'll never grow old and you'll never walk alone.

Revoke article 50

(My) way forward;
I can see a motion of no confidence in the government (May cannot be deposed by her own party) being held next week in parliament and if enough people have planned well they could approach the queen to accept an emergency government with all parties minus May or the ERG which will then ask for article 50 to be delayed for 2 years by the EU with the promise of another referendum. Alternatively revoke article 50, as the govt has not delivered the circumstances to leave, with a promise to reinstate it at a later date when everything has been truly prepared....maybe in 5 years or so,and then a general election where the parties can choose to  work on actually planning before reinstating article 50 or revoke it permanently or hold another referendum.

Join the EU club

For example; If you earn £55k per year you pay £105 per year to the EU. Think of that payment as a stall at a car boot sale. Ifpay more tax as total earnings revenue of the you don't pay it then your actual earnings will go down,as you will need to either nation will go down due to less profits from sales because of increased tariffs and trade barriers with the nation's biggest trading partners and tougher competition from large trading partners outside the EU who demand certain privileges willy nilly as they see fit. Or if your job happened to be in finance or god forbid car manufacturing then you will lose your wage completely,this is not project Fear it is reality,the car manufacturers have already announced their plans.
Use this simple tool to find out how much you personally pay to stay in the club and keep your job and pay less tax as a whole. By the way a major part of that £104 comes straight back into the UK and funds infrastructure projects and helps poorer areas in the UK. 
It is no use having a car boot sale in a field by yourself, nobody will come,if they do, they will rob you.

Brexit Crossroads

To be clear; Jeremy Corbyn is as useless, incompetent and dishonest as Theresa May.

A general election at this time is useless as both parties are completely split. They have to sort this issue out first, MPs will vote against a no deal exit today by a huge majority and then it becomes interesting. They will vote on Thursday on delaying Article 50, but this delay will come with a price. As Parliament has twice voted against a deal and will have voted against a no deal only two options remain. 1. Cancel Brexit completely or the preferable 2. Another national vote with 2 choices on the ballot to either accept the deal that has been negotiated and leave the EU or remain and cancel Brexit.

Only after this has all happened will the time for a general election be right.

Grandchildren need Grandparents

Grandparents should have (legal) access to their grandchildren and grandchildren should have access to their grandparents. There is no other bond that is so special,so unique than that of this bond,it is a link between the generations, that parents sometimes can't give. The lessons children learn,the absolute love they receive is one of those things that is inexplicable and beautiful in life. Too often it is denied which is a crime.

Complicit in destruction.

The ultimate smoke and mirrors robbery has already been committed on the British nation. Instead of legislating against off shore companies and tax avoiders, which would worth hundreds of billions and getting back the billions spent on saving the banks, the last decade has been spent blaming the unemployed and the disabled and then immigrants and then the EU. The amount spent on the unemployed is tiny compared to the tax revenue lost through what are simply criminal corporation and off shore residents tax loopholes. Immigrants pay a lot more in tax than they claim in benefits,every fucking official statistic make that a fact. Trading in a free trade area with our neighbours and having the clout of 27 countries in international affairs is priceless, especially when we are a leading member and those European laws; we can veto every single one of them,most of them were drafted and put forward by us. Democracy,we vote for our MEPs the same way as we do our MPs.
The EU is cracking down on Google,Facebook,Starbucks, McDonald's and all the other non tax paying fucking leeching corporations. This is not a coincidence. Powerful companies have paid the media to support Brexit,the leading figures stand to make millions from our exit. The rats are already leaving...Rees Mogg's business interests have moved to Dublin, Farage has secured German passports for his kids who also speak German(he once publicly complained about hearing too many foreign voices on trains) Dyson has fucked off. The ERG running the Brexiteer MPs is funded by nobody knows who and illegal Russian money has already been discovered funding leaver groups....driving a wedge through Europe is exactly what Putin has always wanted and the chaos that will ensue will take the heat off him.
10 years of austerity has decimated the UK,austerity was caused by the banks not the people,turning the people against each other has served the owners of the right wing media and kept their own business interests safe. With the advent of social media the opportunity arose to really control what people believed and with concerted support of the right wing and almost no laws to regulate the spread of fascist lies the rich just sat back and watched our country destroy itself.
The banks that destroyed our country remain intact and their shareholders keep collecting their money. The corporations keep on earning billions whilst paying only a few million in tax.
The wealth of a whole nation has been shifted from the people to the rich at an unprecedented rate,never before seen in modern history. Again,this is not an opinion it is a recorded fact.
Our nation is at a crossroads,it can continue to swallow the lies it has been fed,and ignore the fact that those telling the lies have never and can still not provide a shred of evidence about their claims. Every lie they told has been disproved. That truth is becoming more and more apparent every day.People throughout history have closed their eyes to the truth but the time has to come,the penny must drop at some point,that we must look around at those who sprout the lies,those that support the lies, their actions,and the evidence in front of our faces and ask ...
"Are we the bad guys?"
Those that choose to ignore the truth are complicit and are just as responsible as those who commit the crimes.

People's Vote

The People have already voted! Have they fuck! No one knew the exact terms of what Leave would mean,and only the government found out last week. The vote was financed by foreign money with outright lies. The vote was also non binding. The vote was also 2 and a half years ago,a lot has changed since then.
Now the truth is out there,now the truth is apparent,now we know the details,the logical, democratic step would be to vote again. We voted in a general election twice over the last 3 years,that was an important decision,why is a tainted referendum not deemed just as important?
We must have a People's Vote,after the facts are now clear. That is democracy.

Nero fiddles

When Britain needs a leader at this time who exudes confidence, gravitas and strength we have one who fucking dances around like a fucking idiot happy about a Telletubbies movie! With companies pushing each other to get out,jobs being lost,the longest recession since the 1930s(even including the war),the Union itself being threatened, and a future as certain as my chances of staying sober this weekend, the people needed reassuring,not distracted and holding their heads in their hands! I don't remember seeing Churchill,Atlee,Thatcher or even Blair dancing around like fucking morons. Britain needs a real revolution to stop this madness.
All empires fall, Babylonians, Greeks, Egyptians,Romans and our power fell very recently. Yet,we can control how we fall, and for the last 50 years the previous governments although I have hated many of them,have ensured that the UK punched above its weight,and a major part of that was joining a much bigger union, and being a major player within that union, shaping that union with our partners, we are already beginning to see that power slipping away. China today have asked for an official apology for a Chinese journalist who assaulted someone,yes you read that right,how fucked up is that? That wouldn't have happened if China didn't think it now has the UK by its balls. We will fall as Rome fell due to Nero fiddling as Rome burnt.

Duterte and Cambridge Analytica

Duterte is like a wife beating husband, he is violent but he is nice to his friends and brings home money. People don't understand why his wife complains as he is so funny and successful.

The company Cambridge Analytica is a famous company that was this year forced to close after they were found to have spread millions and millions of fake posts and comments on social media. They were paid by the Russians,by Duterte,by groups supporting Brexit and right wing American groups and many others This is not disputed,they were raided and their records and contacts and payment history released. Facebook is now desperately trying to find a way to stop this. The example used is now always Duterte and how social media was used to spread lies and intimidate opponents. Throughout the world universities are studying how this was achieved and allowed to happen. The people living in The Phillipines can see the truth of what is really happening,but it is those not living there that continue to spread the fake news that the government gives them. It is a remarkable phenomenon, and although Cambridge Analytica was forced to close everyone knows that they have been replaced. The same is now happening in Burma,where a Muslim genocide has been happening,but there is an army of trolls on the internet that continue to deny the truth....even when photos and clear evidence is produced. The idea being that if you keep telling a large group of your uneducated people that black is white and white is black they will eventually believe you.

So he didn't steal? Is that now a good thing? A thing to be praised? Modern governments do not steal for their own personal gain. The leader of Hong Kong is not very good but her honesty is never questioned and the fact that she doesn't steal is not held to be a good thing, if she did,she would just be a criminal. The same can be said of the British Prime Minister and even Trump. They never get elected with the slogan..... She/he is good because they don't steal.

The real war

This is the biggest single most damaging event since World War 2. The economic damage it caused is still being felt severely today. In Britain it brought austerity and enabled the racists to gain power and through absolute lies trick our nation into becoming the laughing stock of the world. The deaths caused by austerity continue with medical services suffering and food banks feeding our children and the disabled dying through lack of money and shelter. The people who caused it continue to be protected and the corporations who benefitted continue to pay no taxes. Governments began wars against the terrorists of 9/11 and destroyed the countries they came from and began a blitzkrieg of a whole region and expressed surprise when millions of refugees poured out of the rubble and continue to do so. Yet, the criminals who caused the economic crash and the system that allowed it and continues to do so is left untouched and stronger than ever.
In years to come,in centuries to come, this event will be seen as a catalyst to misery and the instigator of a backwards step for humanity, the cause of Brexit,of Trump and the fake news wars.

Surely this must be a battle cry for The Revolution? All media should pull out of the White House, refuse to interview those Republicans that don't condemn what is an attack  on the freedom of the press, which until last year was a freedom American's held dear. His tweets should be ignored by media,and apart from any direct policy decisions that have actually been put into effect he and his lackeys should be ignored. At the same time, newspapers,magazines,websites,T.V. and radio should have blank pages, blank airtime where they should have been able to report on the their government without fear. This is a very sad day for accountability of the executive and the media's ability to do their job.
Has he turned the U.S. into Turkey,or Thailand or Egypt or China or Singapore or The Philippines, and the other nations where journalists are killed,jailed,attacked and vilified for telling the truth?

The Meek

Most of the happiest and richest countries in the world have mixed market economies. They educate their citizens for free and encourage and give them that free education whilst ensuring they have good healthcare. They encourage their people to work to innovate,to strive for more. Their weak and disadvantaged are brought into society rather than punished. The Welfare of all is important and seen as necessary and noble. Housing is available to all.
In these same countries unemployment is low,crime is low,and education is excellent. They compete commercially alongside the elite,they out-perform bigger richer nations in productivity and quality of life.
It is not fucking rocket science.
Pure capitalism doesn't work,as communism doesn't work. 
In the 90s they talked about a '3rd Way' but that was part of the propoganda,as the 3rd way was already there,with most European nations,meanwhile we began charging our students and making the unemployed into a parish. 
We (The U.K.) are heading towards the American model of capitalism. Work or die,and fuck the consequences of crime and healthcare.
Sweden, Norway,Denmark,Finland,Switzerland,even Germany and France will inherit the Earth.

The Last Days

Throughout history many great conquering civilisations have fallen, The Egyptians,Greeks,Romans,Mongols,Vikings,Danes,Normans, Portuguese,Spanish,Dutch,Moors,French,Ottamans,Russians,Prussians,Germans,British and Americans. History has taught us that all have fallen eventually. Why can't the British and American people realise that? 30 years ago it was obvious and we accepted it, as it was clear that, firstly we realised the error of our ways and more importantly that it was not practical.
We are left with the dregs today of those that still believe it is desirable and obtainable to get those empires back,we are leading others to do the same,the idea that nationalism is a good thing,that power is our aim,that leadership is our God given right.
All of these ideas have only resurfaced in the last decade,during the age of austerity,'The age of Austerity' caused by rampant capitalism.
The after effects of the banks destroying our economies with impunity led to the perfect conditions for the right wing to grow,as they did during the Weimar Republic of Germany after World War 1.
The Conservative government of the UK decided to pass on the cost of 'austerity' in 2010, not to the banks or the corporations or the rich,they decided to pass on the burden to the poor,to the working and even middle classes. This in turn meant libraries closing, cuts in health care,wage freezes,huge fucking huge cuts in the police force and military,in roads that never got fixed,in the deprivation of the disabled and the unemployed....the list goes on. Yet the banks got off scot free and the biggest propaganda machine ever mounted in (at least British) history began to blame the unemployed,the elderly,the disabled,those at the bottom.
It forgot (this propoganda machine),who caused the austerity.
Eventually the anger rose from the people,so the propoganda machine changed tact,it changed aim....to refugees,to illegal refugees and at this time millions were coming into Europe after we had spent 15 years bombing them and their neighbours and left no viable governments in place,only chaos,violence and hunger.
The irony is, is that we stopped those same refugees arriving,they were absorbed by our European neighbours....who hadn't bombed them for 15 years.
So the Propoganda machine shifted again,to the EU. When people are pissed off,hungry,no library to go to,no decent roads and you are told that the blame lies in basically anywhere then you will believe it
We are in an unprecedented age of propoganda, in what we now call 'fake news',
Statistics and absolute facts are dismissed....history is dismissed,and of course the banks and markets roll on unaffected.
The banks are to blame,but education is also to blame,and so is reality TV,soaps and the dumbing down of culture,and much more. In 300 years time this decade may become more infamous than the decades of the last century,this decade may well become as famous as The Fall of Rome and the step back into The Dark Ages. Let's hope not.

Lest we forget

Yes, Society today seem immune to suffering,be it the homeless, racist attacks, toddlers locked in cages,dead babies on beaches...the list goes on. People seem to think it is ok to say "Nothing to do with us" "They shouldn't have left their country" "Charity begins at home". This is not the world I grew up in,these are not my morals. 

If we lay down and allow these ideas,then we become complicit,complicit in the same way as many were forced into compliance in the last century,there is no difference. As developed countries,we are supposed to lead the way,to show humanity that violence,racism,fascism and corruption are not the way forward,that there is an alternative,we are failing,we are falling back to believing we are somehow superior,that our lives are worth more than the lives of those less fortunate.
The Geneva Convention in the World Wars was only applied to 'civilised'' countries, Britain wrote in a get out clause that said and this is almost verbatim "When fighting the 'uncivilised' there are no rules, the actions of the 'civilised' side will be according to necessity"
That feeling of superiority,in the first instance of your town,your football team,your county,your country,your race, persists today,in almost every country in the world but now again in Europe and the U.S.A. I see it in developing countries,it continues to devastate large swathes of the planet tribally.
In 1899 the European powers had a Peace conference where it was decided that the peace conference itself was useless as Europe was now too powerful and civilised to ever again embark on war,with the advancement of technology they believed that they were too intelligent for war.  Until 1914 the major powers of the world had enjoyed a long period of peace,and any significant war seemed beyond anyone's belief. 9 million soldiers(This war was still largely fought on the battlefield,so they were  soldiers) died in the 4 years that followed.
A mere 21 years later at least 50 million people died,soldiers and civilians.
We ignore the past at our peril,we ignore the past then we repeat it.

 The photos below are of my Great Great Uncle who gave his life 100 years ago this month to defend his country. My children's Great Great Great Uncle. Generally those that died were 'uncles' (They weren't at the time) as they never had children,they didn't get the chance,they gave their lives so your Grandaddy's granddad could have kids.

Football is a good place to start. We haven't won a major trophy for over 50 years,but we feel we are entitled to one,that it is our right. Spain,Germany,Italy and France have all won recently,Greece at The Euros..

Business, Germany has consistently out performed us forever.

When we travel throughout Europe we realise their streets are not violent and they can walk freely in the centre of their towns at night. We see the family unit together there,we see their trains working,their education working,buses are cheap,people are nice. Except Paris.

Now we have seen Russia is also a lot nicer than we thought. We don't have the worst weather,Ireland has that, we certainly don't have the best, Greece has that. 

Our people have a sense of entitlement,they believe was earnt 70 years ago in wars where every other country also suffered,the common man doesn't start wars, governments do.

We are not entitled to win The Eurovision song contest because we had The Beatles and The Rolling Stones,we are not entitled to win the World Cup because we invented football.

Europe and the world are looking at England( that's where the leave vote came from,Wales can fuck off) as a sibling looks at a petulant,sulking brother or sister. 

I hope we win the world cup this month,but we must understand that in Europe's eyes and the world's we are in no way superior. A world cup and 2 world wars does not a great country make.

There is no Commonwealth.

The British Prime Minister asked her department whilst in the Home Office to toughen the immigration process policy, to create fear, and she ordered the billboards and vans with the 'go home' messages. Then they began deporting people who had come here legally from Commonwealth countries just as they were due to collect their pensions from the 40 or 50 years they had worked and paid into the system. She oversaw the denial of NHS treatments for the same people including chemotherapy and other life saving treatments. All instigated by her. Her minnows denied in front of parliament that deportation quotas did not exist, those same minnows have now stated that they LIED to parliament. Instead of targeting illegal immigrants this government chose to focus on legal immigrants who were invited into Britain and worked and raised families and paid their taxes for half a century. I spit on Theresa May and those that support her,even I have to say that there are Tories that that are as outraged as the rest of us. She has shamed our country and tarred our country with a disgusting shade of shit. Racism, governmental racism. If you are not ashamed of our government then you are part of the problem. How can we get our country back? How can we make our country great again? Stand against this crap, together,Tory,Labour,Liberal, fight the fight against The Mail,The Sun and The Express. Keeping quiet has fed the right, who shout louder,keeping quiet has brought our country shame and reduced us to already becoming once again a laughing stock, 'the sick man of Europe'.
Say no to racism,say no to fascism,say no to this fucked up incompetent government.

I believe the BBC is right to air Enoch Powell's speech,to show how we are going backwards,to show how the very speech that was demonised for so many decades has now become the rhetoric of our newspapers and the right wing. How in the last few years we have become just like him, xenophobic and with delusions of grandeur. The speech repulsed so many back then that it became a model of how we should not be. He was proven wrong, and the UK would not have prospered without the influx of Commonwealth citizens who came and worked and helped to build modern Britain.
Play it again,let his words sink in, and then let's once again do the opposite.
