To boldly go......nowhere!

On the anniversary of mankind's first flight into space, the homes for the retired shuttles is announced. The UK and France retired Concorde, the UK the Harrier jump jet, and its last aircraft carrier. Juri Gargarin must be spinning in his grave. Why are we going backwards? To boldy....go nowhere!
The UN should pick up the baton, and the world should unite in a common quest to go ever further into space. We will have to leave this planet one day.
